MONTHLY TRIPS

Monthly trips are arranged annually.  The regular sea anglers would welcome new faces to join them on their interesting and enjoyable trips. Members should obtain further details of times, cost etc, from Graham Cotter. Tel: 01621 774657

2008 has been a strange season, we have got out more often than recent years but the fish were not there in any numbers to be caught. It was especially galling as we were listening to reports of a good run of codling on the East coast , but almost nothing was making it to the Eastern Channel . I am afraid that over fishing by the commercial guys has destroyed the fishing there.

So in 2009 we are moving back to the East Coast and changing boats to the Lady Essex based in the River Crouch ( see www.ladyessex.com ) and swapping our conventional gear for our uptiders. It is with regret we leave Newhaven but the increasing costs & poor returns have forced us to move

In recent years the Flatfish Trophy has not been won as no flatfish have been landed, this year it is different , none of the trophies are to be awarded . Catches were so disappointing amongst our members that no fish were weighed in

We have 10 bookings for next year so far. These are:
