TROUT SECTION

Danbury Trout Fishery Fly fishing only is available at a 1½ acre reservoir near Danbury, in beautiful wooded surroundings. The fishery is stocked regularly throughout the season (1st April to 29th October) with Trout 12 oz to 2lb., some growing on to over 4lb. Trout Section members are encouraged to help in the running of the fishery. An annual meeting of members is held and several working parties organised during the close season. In recent years six fishing platforms have been installed and a large chalet built, the cost of which was generously provided by our landlord, Mrs J Tuker. Very successful annual social events include an organised coach outing to an alternative trout fishery and a barbecue at our fishery for members and their family and friends.
