On 29th June 2003 a Field Fayre
was held near the church at Ulting Village.
The Chelmsford Angling Association was kindly invited along not only
to promote the club but also to participate in the raising of funds
for the restoration and up keep of the beautiful village church.
Trevor Wilson (Former Club Secretary) and Peter Harrington (Public
Relation) attended the Fayre and had been pitched along side the
beautiful river Chelmer. Various set ups of fishing tackle were on
display including fly and sea fishing rods, reels, and tackle. A
short pole had been set up and any one who wished to actually have
a go at fishing could do so in the river. (See photos)
Monies raised for the church was
done by the public playing our 'Cast Your Luck' fishing game in
which a ball had to be cast into various sized flower pots, each
representing varying valued prizes, including 3 free memberships to
The Chelmsford Angling Association. Well done to our 3 lucky winners
also to all the other prize winners. |
