With 14 Lakes and miles and miles of river fishing, Chelmsford Angling Association offer quite simply some of the best fishing in Essex.
Boreham Mere - 1st May
Although the all the work has been completed on the Boreham complex (Main lake, Springett’s and Reenies) all three lakes will remain closed.
The water level has not risen significantly enough to be able to open this Friday and probably for a couple of weeks thereafter.
The lack of rain hasn’t helped and the water hasn’t even reached the base of some swims yet.
We are sorry for the inconvenience for those who had planned to go there this weekend but it’s not safe to play or land any fish at the moment.
All other lakes will be open as normal.

Blunts/Cants gates will open Friday at 05.30 for 06:00 draw
Wick Mere gates will open Friday at 05.45 for 06:00 draw
Tufnell Mere / Broads Green gates will open Friday at 05:45 and 06:15 draw
Willows gates will open Friday at 06:00 and 06:30 draw
Micklem Mere gates will open Friday at 05:45 and 06:00 draw
